- No 3G connectivity, instead the 5530 relies on EDGE and WiFi
- No integrated GPS, which will limit the utility of location software.
- Different homescreen. The 5530 has a 20 person contact carousel (similiar to the 5630), rather than the fixed four person homescreen of the 5800
